Manifesto

Attends Regarde is French for “wait, look”, and it’s what we say when words fall short and we pick up a pencil to show what we mean.

Four principles guide our work: story, use, rigour & impact.

Story drives form.
We build each project around a unique narrative, defined by the client’s personality and needs. It becomes the backbone of the project, guiding each decision from the space planning to the smallest details.
The story becomes visible architecture.

Use shapes space.
We design around how a place is really used, by everyone who spends time in it. Layout shapes behaviour and needs change over time, so we plan for today while leaving room for what comes next.
Spaces that works well.

Rigour makes it last.
Every detail is designed and built to handle years of daily use. We choose solutions and finishes that wear gracefully instead of going out of date.
Spaces that age well.

Impact guides every choice.
We reuse what is already there and bring in anything new with care. We work with the healthiest materials we can find, sourced as close as possible, and with local craftspeople whenever we can.
We mind the footprint.

In short, we believe in interiors that make sense.
